Choosing the Right Water Fuel Conversion Method for Your Car
Fuel can be extracted from water in the form of the gas HHO, which can be injected into your carburettor/manifold to run your engine. Unfortunately you cannot extract enough of this higher energy gas to run your car on water alone and so it can only be used to supplement gasoline. This will however work to reduce your overall fuel costs, because it helps significantly reduce fuel wastage. Normally fuel is injected into your engine in droplets that are mixed with air in the combustion chamber. As must as 60% of this fuel can simply be wasted when it is burnt. When HHO is injected, it reacts with the gasoline and causes it to vaporise, meaning that smaller particles are being burnt, without affecting the efficiency of the engine. This means that you are using less fuel, and so making significant savings at the gas pump.
Both petrol and diesel cars can be modified to extract HHO from water, and this is done through installing an electrolysis system. This system will be attached to your battery, and this will be utilised to run an electrical current through two electrodes. As the water is passed over the electrodes the hydrogen and oxygen will be separated and reformed into HHO gas. The system will then route this gas directly into the carburettors/manifold so that is can be mixed with the normal fuel.
The effectiveness of this system will depend on what vehicle you have and it is always a good idea to have your engine serviced before you attempt to install a fuel saving device. If your engine is not running properly you may not see any benefits at all.
There are many different kinds of systems for converting your car over to using a water fuel supplement, but these come in two basic formats – guides on how to complete DIY systems, and readymade systems that can be installed at home. It is not common at the moment for professional mechanics to offer this kind of installation service.
If you are thinking of purchasing a guide to create and install your own DIY system from scratch then you will need to ensure that either yourself or a friend has a sufficient basic knowledge of mechanics, and a basic range of tools. HHO is a volatile gas and has safety issues, so you must be able to follow the instructions absolutely, and fit the system securely and safely. Most of the online guides for sale do include money back guarantees, so it might be a good idea to try a system, and if it is too difficult to create and install, or does not seem to be having any effect then you can get your money back and try a new system. You could do this several times until you found a system that suits your individual vehicle.
Alternatively you can buy readymade electrolysis systems, that just need fitting into your car. This can be fairly expensive, but potentially are much safer as the systems will be robustly made and tested for leaks before being shipped to you. You will need a basic understanding of mechanics in order to install these readymade systems, but most providers also offer free technical support and plenty of easy to follow instructions. It is less likely with these systems you will be offered a money back guarantee if you don’t like it or find it difficult to install, but providers usually offer replacements if the unit itself is faulty in any way.
You should expect to pay up to around $140 for one of the DIY guidebooks, and this combined with material costs should come in at no more than $300 once completed. Readymade systems vary in price and start at around $200, but if you are converting a large car, van or truck you could expect to pay between $600 - $1000 for a comprehensive system.
